Kerr Boards is located in Slocan, BC, Canada
Home to majestic Slocan Lake and the headwaters of the Slocan River – A rare gem of a lake and river system untamed by dams. Cradled between the Valhalla and Kokanee ranges of BC’s Selkirk Mountains.
The river is home to a host of water sports – paddleboarding, canoeing, kayaking and tubing down the river between Slocan Park and Crescent beach as well as the 4.5 km class 3 Fachina rapids, located between Crescent Beach and the confluence of the Slocan and Kootenay Rivers at Shore Acres. Slocan River surf is always available and ever changing with the seasons.
Slocan Lake is ideal for paddleboarding. Glassy water early in the a.m. and evenings. With a predictable wind pick up in afternoons, downwind surfing is often viable in the summer. Also great lake surf at the creek mouths originating in the Valhallas and Kokanee Range.
We build boards inspired by the conditions offered by nature right here in the Kootenays.
